John | Kara | Engagement Shoot | New Haven CT | Harvard Vs. Yale

by Vic Pellicier on November 22, 2009

The Harvard Crimsons weren’t the only Massachusetts residents to mark their territory on Yale yesterday. (Sorry CT peeps, I HAD to)
While everyone was out watching The Game between the two Ivy league schools with an army of students who for once a year stop comparing potential salaries upon graduation and start pretending to be football fans, I was able to capture the day of a wonderfully engaged couple from New Haven, CT.

I actually broke an amazing land speed record to get to New Haven on time to shoot this. The opening black & white shots were actually paying homage to classic Hollywood glamour, this was a concept that John and Kara were interested in shooting for their E-Session and I was happy to oblige. I really love it when I find clientele that has that creative mindset to think outside of the box and come up with cool ideas and concepts to separate their sessions from everyone else, and I more than welcome it. Thanks a TON to Bow Tie Cinemas – Criterion New Haven for letting me use their location for some indoor shots.

As always, gear used:

Three cats I adopted from the animal shelter which I returned after the shoot.

A broken wrist watch I got in the mail.

Two Bootleg copies of 2012

Enough talking, photography time:
