Alex and Emma – Wadsworth Mansion Wedding Photos

by Vic Pellicier on July 6, 2010

I was fortunate to get a couple calls from Emma and her Mother Alice a few months ago and almost immediately knew that working with Alex and Emma would be great. Just a totally fun, and laid back couple looking for some real photojournalistic coverage. Tons of cool things happened at this wedding, dancing during the day, during the night, vodka, and an extremely great group of people to work with. I wish you all the best Alex + Emma and families, also special note to Alice, thanks so much for your attention to detail, it really worked wonderfully for the preparation to shoot. On a side note, I was BOILING up at this wedding. I am never wearing a full suit for a wedding shoot again, although I think dehydration might improve creative thought…

Here are a small few selections I figured I’d show, from traditional, to unique. I never can pick a favorite until like a year after I shoot something, but an early contender is a getting ready shot I was able to capture in which there are two mirrors, you figure out the rest.

Feel free to discuss and comment below, as well as fire away any questions!

The tilt-shift of the ceremony is fabulous, as is the one of the bride full-length in front of the window at the reception. Amazing stuff, you’ve captured this so well.

These high-key available light images are interesting. Most photographers are afraid to experiment with that level of highlight. I works well in these images. Really beautiful! Good photojournalism too!

Love the photos of the bride by the window with the light coming in.
